This guide is designed to support researchers, who wish to collaborate with Bio- and Genome Bank Denmark (RBGB) in the collection of biospecimens, the transfer of biospecimens for a research project from one of the RBGB clinical biobanks, or both. For prospective studies, RBGB provides infrastructure for biospecimen collection and storage, while retrospective studies can access previously collected and stored. To maximize the benefits of RBGB’s resources, it is recommended to integrate RBGB into the research plan from the outset, including in study protocols and patient information materials. This guide outlines key considerations for researchers utilizing the RBGB infrastructure.
